Abstract

Transvaginal ultrasound as a diagnostic technique in obstetric and maternal fetal medicine is reviewed. Comments are made about its clinical value in the diagnosis and management of specific obstetric conditions. Our data of clinical trials performed in our Hospital to determine the value of this diagnostic technique are presented in the context of available scientific evidence.
