Dengue hemorrhagic fever, pregnancy, complicationsAbstract
Two cases reported of dengue hemorrhagic fever during pregnancy at the Hospital Universitario Metropolitano, the first at 35 wk, and the second at 21 wk of pregnancy. Diagnosis was made clinically and also by a positive serologic test and a positive tourniquet test.
We stand out that we found no documentation about this subject, that's why we present this two cases and suggest the management done, because of the satisfactory outcome in both patients.
We considered important to make public these two cases, because there are few reports documenting about dengue and pregnancy and because there is not specific management of this entity during pregnancy from the Panamerican Health Organization.
