Consideraciones éticas y profesionales a la práctica ginecobstétrica en Colombia

Durante los últimos 15 años la práctica médica ha sufrido una transformación trascendental. Aspectos puntuales como la relación médico-paciente y la remuneración del profesional médico han sido revaluados en forma profunda por terceros con intereses no-médicos. De un sistema de pago individual por servicio, ajeno a control alguno de instituciones o aseguradores, se pasó a un sistema prepagado altamente controlado por éstos. Las aseguradoras, las organizaciones de venta de servicios médicos y las instituciones como nuevos protagonistas en la relación médico-paciente, son verdaderas fuerzas comerciales que actuando en un nuevo escenario de "era corporativa" y bajo la meta de ampliar la cobertura en salud, mantienen al individuo médico bajo la continua amenaza de interferir cada vez más en su ejercicio profesional.Biografía del autor/a
