Resumen

El carcinoma ductal in situ de mama es un grupo heterogéneo de neoplasias, el cual ha presentado un gran aumento en su incidencia en la última década, además es una enfermedad que se diagnostica en pacientes asintomáticas en su gran mayoría, gracias al uso de la mamografía como tamizaje.

No hay un tratamiento único para este tipo de patologías y en algunos casos puede ser recomendable el uso de radioterapia; se sabe también que la quimioprevención juega un papel importante en el manejo.

En base al índice de Van Nuys, se dan unas pautas de manejo.
