Factor Endocrino en Esterilidad TIROIDES

Si se acepta que esterilidad es la inhabilidad para reproducirse, e infertilidad la mayor o menor reducción de la fertilidad (1), es lógico que la esterilidad es la maxima infertilidad posible.
Podría quizás decirse que esterilidad es la imposibilidad de que un óvulo sea fecundado, y que infertilidad es la imposibilidad de que un ovulo fecundado evolucione hasta un nuevo ser viable. Las causas de uno y otro fenómeno son numerosas y variadas, y mucho mejor conocidas por ustedes que por quien les habla, como que tales problemas atañen más al ginecólogo obstetra que al endocrinólogo Sin embargo, un grupo de dichas causas tiene su origen en alteraciones funcionales de la glándula tiroides.
