Ecosonografía en Gineco-Obstetricia

Se comentan en el presente estudio alguna de nuestras primeras experiencias en Ecosonografía realizadas en el Hospital Universitario Metropolitano de la ciudad de Barranquilla.
Este procedimiento de gran trascendencia en la medicina moderna, permite llevar a cabo una buena evaluación en la mujer gestante y la detección de la patología ginecológica.
En reconocimiento al valor diagnóstico del ultrasonido en gineco-obstetricia el Colegio Americano de Obstetras y Ginecólogos ha recomendado recientemente que cada servicio de Obstetricia deba ser provisto de un equipo de ultrasonido.
