Fistulas urinarias post-histerectomía radical abdominal

A pesar de que no conocemos la respuesta para la profilaxis de las complicaciones fistulosas ureterales, en esta clase de cirugía, debe tenerse en cuenta que los tratamientos actuales para el carcinoma del cérvix ( tanto radioterápicos como quirúrgicos), dan un porcentaje inevitable de complicaciones.
Entre estas complicaciones, las fístulas urétero-vaginales post-cirugía radical, si bien enojosas, pueden ser corregidas quirúrgicamente de manera satisfactoria, como lo demuestra la experiencia en el Instituto, que será resumida en contribución al tema por el doctor Latiff.
