Niveles séricos de somatomamotrofina coriónica humana en embarazadas con hipertensión arterial. - Informe preliminar

En 12 pacientes con embarazo mayor de 28 semanas y que presentaban hipertensión arterial por toxemia gravídica o de causa esencial, fueron estudiados mediante radioinmunoensayo los niveles séricos de somatomamotrofina coriónica (SCH).
En 2 casos en que el feto falleció in útero la cifra de SCH estuvo por debajo de 4 ugr/ml. En otros 3 casos también con niveles bajos de la hormona, los fetos nacieron vivos pero con un puntaje de Apgar inferior a 5/10. En un caso con niveles menores de 4 ugr/ml. el feto nació en buenas condiciones.
En los 6 casos restantes los niveles séricos de SCH fueron de 10 o más ugr/ml., habiendo nacido todos los fetos en óptimas condiciones según el puntaje de Apgar, a pesar de que 2 de ellos tenían malformaciones.
