Estriol: Estandarización del radioinmunoanálisis valores en el embarazo

La medición de estriol (E,) en fluidos corporales se ha usado para ,evaluar la unidad fetoplacentaria en el curso de embarazo de alto riesqo (1, 2, 3); inicialmente el interés se enfocó hacia su excreción urinaria(4) .
Con el desarrollo de nuevas técnicas más específicas y sensibles se ha dado gran importancia a su determinación en el suero (1, 3, 5). En la formación del estriol materno intervienen el feto, la placenta y la madre (fig 1). constituyéndose así en un magnífico parámetro para valorar la función de esta unidad biológica en el embarazo.
