Cirrosis Hepática y Embarazo

Se presentan tres nuevos casos de embarazo complicado con cirrosis hepática en dos pacientes del Hospital San Juan de Dios, de Cúcuta.
Una de estas pacientes con hipertensión portal y Síndrome de Banti recibe tratamiento quirúrgico y cursa luego una gestación bajo control médico sin complicaciones.
Otra paciente a quien se le descubre su cirrosis durante el embarazo, no recibe tratamiento, presenta numerosas complicaciones y tiene un parto prematuro.
Se discute el papel que juegan las hormonas sexuales durante el embarazo
sobre la función hepática.
Se recalca la importancia de buscar alteraciones de función hepática durante el control prenatal cuando los síntomas y signos así lo indiquen.
