Enfermedad trofoblástica gestacional diagnóstico, tratamiento y seguimiento

Se realizó un estudio prospectivo descriptivo de 58 pacientes con Enfermedad Trofoblástica Gestacional (ETG), que consultaron por primera vez al Hospital Universitario San Vicente de Paúl (HUSVP) durante 19 meses, comprendidos entre el 1o. de agosto de 1985 y el 28 de febrero de 1987, de tal manera que el 1o. de septiembre de 1987 tuvieron un seguimiento mínimo de seis meses. Ocho pacientes tuvieron un seguimiento menor. Se analizaron factores de riesgo de esta enfermedad, tales como: edad, grupo sanguíneo de la paciente, paridad, tipo de embarazo precedente, título inicial de HCG, duración de la enfermedad, altura uterina en relación con la amenorrea, enfermedades médicas asociadas (toxemia, hipertiroidismo) y presencia de quistes tecalutéinicos, con relación a los estados clínicos de la enfermedad.
