Mortalidad neonatal hospitalaria

Los comentarios que van a hacerse sobre mortalidad neonatal se refieren a un total de 20.538 recién nacidos que han sido atendidos personalmente por el autor en el Instituto de Protección Materno-Infantil y en la Clínica David Restrepo, de Bogotá. Para una mayor claridad de conceptos vamos a dar de entrada unas cuantas definiciones que son las aceptadas por la Acádemia Americana de Pediatría y que coinciden con los Códigos Internacionales sobre la materia.
