Consideraciones clínicas sobre el Síndrome de Ovarios Poliquísticos

Quienes nos iniciamos en el ejercicio de la Ginecología hace cerca de
cinco lustros, ocasionalmente encontrábamos el cuadro clínico de pacientes estériles, ól igo o amenorreicas, en quienes el examen clínico o el hallazgo quirúrgico permitía descubrir la presencia de grandes ovarios pálidos, llenos de múltiples pequeños quistes (1); los designábamos con el nombre de "Síndrome de los grandes ovarios poliquísticos de Bartel Herman".
