En el 2002 estamos recordando los cincuenta años de la presentación del estudio sobre el popular puntaje Apgar, realizada en el 27° Congreso Anual de Anestesistas, reunión conjunta de la Sociedad Internacional de Investigación en Anestesia y el Colegio Internacional de Anestesistas, en septiembre de 1952, en Virginia Beach; este análisis sencillo de un sistema fácil y expedito de valorar a un recién nacido, ha resultado de extraordinaria utilidad para anestesiólogos, ginecoobstetras y pediatras neonatólogos (1).Biografía del autor/a
