Uso de antibióticos profilácticos en la operación cesárea

Resumen

Dada la alta incidencia de morbilidad infecciosa, en operación cesárea y ante la necesidad de disminuirla, se evalúa el uso profiláctico de la penicilina cristalina (3 dosis de 5 millones de unidades) pre-operatoria y a las 2 y 8 horas del post-operatorio, en pacientes de alto y bajo riesgo de infección.

Del total de la población 280 pacientes, 148 (52.9%), son grupo control y 132 (47.1%) grupo de uso de antibióticos profilácticos.

Se estudian las características obstétricas, clínicas y epidemiológicas de la población, así como aquellas de riesgo operatorio, siendo esencialmente similares en cada grupo estudiado.
