Hígado graso agudo del embarazo. Tres primeros casos en el Instituto Materno-Infantil

Se presentan los tres primeros casos de Hígado Graso Agudo del Embarazo estudiados en el Hospital Materno Infantil de Bogotá. Se discuten los hallazgos clínicos, de laboratorio y patológicos y se resumen los conocimientos sobre la enfermedad incluyendo hipótesis etiopatogénicas y haciéndo énfasis en la necesidad de considerar ésta posibilidad diagnóstica en el estudio de pacientes ictéricas en el tercer trimestre del embarazo ya que la institución de las medidas de sostén adecuadas y la terminación del embarazo pueden mejorar el pronóstico materno y fetal.
