Método de sedación-amnesia-anestesia con methohexital sódico durante el parto en perfusión continua gota-gota

Se estudian 330 pacientes parturientas a quienes se les aplicó MHS en perfusión continua gota-gota buscando en ellas producir amnesia sin que se produjeran complicaciones feto-maternas.
A 250 pacientes se les analiza una serie de datos importantes de los cuales se sacan las conclusiones ya anotadas. Se recomienda este método en especial para zonas rurales y se revisa la bibliografía existente al respecto. Se concluye que es inocuo para la madre y el hijo, de muy fácil control por parte del médico y que no produce complicaciones graves. Se recomienda en el Servicio del Hospital Universitario San Vicente de Paúl, se insiste en su aprendizaje por parte de los médicos internos.
